Pisa:
a couple of days ago we went to Pisa to see the leaning tower of Pisa. nobody knows i'ts original name but I'ts purpose is to be a bell tower, but now I'ts just a tourist trap.
I think it went on a lean because there was mushy ground under it and it didn't have very god foundations, and the more mushy bit of ground sunk over time and the more solid bit of ground stayed up.
so now the leaning tower of Pisa is on a lean (or at least that's how I think it goes so leave a comment if I got it wrong).
Notice the top of the tower is a bit more straight than the rest.
There were dozens and dozens of people acting like they were holding the tower up... so Teddy did the same! duna duna duna duna duna duna duna duna
tourist Teddy!
There were also churches you could go to but I think I'd had enough churches for now.
(In getting to Rome + Rome everybody is commenting on the dead pope he actually is real and dead his body is just really well preserved, but if he isn't dead we better rush him to the hospital because he hasn't been breathing since 1978.)
Chinque terre:
yesterday we went to Chinque terre (pronounced chink-weh-tear-e) to go for a hike... but even getting there seemed like a hike on its own.
It was so(ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo) hot but we kept on hiking,
so by the time we got to a bridge I had a very serious case of hat hair.
Hat hair--->
<---Bridge.
At the end me and dad thought we deserved a break so we went to a restaurant that just happened to be at the right place at the right time
sprite time!
Forrest
Hi Forrest, teddy must be very strong! Sounds like you are having a good time. The walk must have been very tiring. Was the sprite nice after that? Camp was awesome! The confidence course was fun. It rained lots the second day.
ReplyDeleteHi Jake, yes I am having a good time the walk wasn't too tiring but sprite is nice anytime. I've heard about the confidence course
DeleteForrest.
The picture of you with the sprite makes you look like a chimpanzee! from Bob
ReplyDeleteHi Forrest and Bevan, you are finding out so much about well known places. Your teddy looks so strong holding up that tower! I am enjoying your sense of humour in your posts and I think you did well lasting out on your trek in such heat. Sorry we haven't been commenting lately, the Year 6s were at camp and the Year 5s were doing EOTC.
